About Tom Matthews

Tom Matthews is a well-respected real estate agent in the suburban Boston area. Tom has sold hundreds of homes and offers expertise in marketing luxury properties. Regarded as a talented market analyst and a strong negotiator, Tom’s clients appreciate his straightforward manner, negotiation skills, transaction coordination, and strategic approach to accomplishing their goals of buying or selling a home. After a full decade in the industry, Mr. Matthews has developed remarkable real estate experience. He is an active member of Business Networking International as a member of the Minuteman Chapter in Concord and has served as President, Vice President, Director, and Lead Trainer. Mr. Matthews is often consulted by organizations to conduct seminars and workshops for other real estate professionals. Tom believes in the power of continued education to hone his skills and increase his knowledge. Completed programs include At Home with Diversity, Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate in Real Estate (GRI), Loss Mitigation Specialist (LMC), Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist (SFS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Instruct the Trainer Institute (ITI). A graduate of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) Leadership Academy, has taught seminars at MAR state conferences in 2011 and 2012, as well as conducted MAR webinars in 2012 and 2013, and recently a GRI instructor for MAR in 2015 and 2016.

A life-long Massachusetts resident, Mr. Matthews was born in Newton and raised in Maynard. He graduated from Acton Boxborough Regional High school in 1996, attended Worcester Academy to play football, and graduated with honors from UMass-Amherst Commonwealth School. Currently living in Concord with his wife and two children, Mr. Matthews enjoys running 5k’s, fit camp and the great outdoors. He is a twelve-year member of the Musketaquid Sporting Club in Concord and is a member of the Concord Chamber of Commerce. As a former Pan Mass Challenge rider, he raised over $25,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
